If you’re new to TWICE (and, at this point, who isn’t?) WELCOME!
There are a few things to know going in about how your subscription to this ‘serial’ is going to work:
Every week on Friday afternoon (USA Pacific time), subscribers to TWICE will receive an email with their link to the latest episode. As duly noted, this subscription is—and will remain—free. Anyone, whether subscribed or not, can visit the TWICE site and read any and all previous TWICE episodes on the site’s ‘Archive’ page. But only subscribers will have access to the latest episode when it comes out. All others will have to wait an additional week to catch up. And the weekly subscriber email will often contain news or behind the scenes content that non-subscribers will not find on the site itself. So, if you enjoy what you’re finding here, I hope you will encourage your friends not only to come read, but to subscribe as well!
If you are a new subscriber just joining this serial in progress, be sure to read the earlier episodes first, beginning with the Prologue. These can all be found on the TWICE site’s ‘Archive’ page. Your first weekly episode link will be to the current week’s new episode—not to the Prologue or any of the episodes released before you found us.
If you have not received our ‘confirmation/welcome’ email after subscribing—or your weekly ‘new episode’ emails fail to arrive—please check your spam filter, and adjust its settings as necessary to make sure that emails from markferrari@twice-the-serial.com are not being marked as spam. Missing emails may also have been sent to your Gmail ‘Promotions’ folder instead of to your ‘Primary’ in-box. If none of these solves the problem, please do contact me via the email address above or this site’s ‘Contact’ page. I am always happy to hear from you—whatever the reason!
Also—resizing your browser window will change the way website and episode illustrations crop. So if you’re not happy with the way site art is displaying, you might be able to improve your view that way.
And, though your subscription is entirely free, there will, of course, be all sorts of ways to thank and/or assist the lowly, struggling creator financially, if you should feel moved to do so. :] You will notice the ubiquitous ‘Tip Jar’ in many locations around the site, as well as links to my Patreon page. At some point in the near future, I also hope to start providing reasonably priced ‘swag’ to those who crave it: prints, note cards, bookmarks, calendars, etc. showcasing art from the serial, as well as a nicely bound, actual ‘book’ at the end of each year containing all that year’s episodes and illustrations: ‘Twice—Season One’ and so on… So, if your heart is set on spending something on this grand adventure, don’t despair: relief is always just around the corner—along with my undying gratitude! Artists who eat are always more entertaining—not to mention more productive. :]
